to me this quip from samuel beckett, is more than a pithy statement or inspirational quote. it is a strong statement on the world. much like beckett, i believe the natural state of the world is failure. consistent with scriptural teachings on sin, i firmly believe that since failure is inevitable, it should not be feared. but rather, embracing failure allows us to understand our own shortcomings and our need for Christ.
